Philip facilitates conferences in which individuals charged with various livability crimes meet with community members, discuss the impact of their actions and reach an agreement on how to best repair the harm caused by their actions. The community benefits through the offender’s reparations; additionally, the individuals are much less likely to repeat the offenses. The offenders benefit by keeping criminal convictions off their records and by connecting to their communities. Philip’s involvement in and commitment to this nonprofit organization recently increased with his election to the board of directors. In this role, Philip is able to shape the future of the organization and ensure that its services and benefits are available to a greater number of neighborhoods in Minneapolis.Radio Discussions on Law |
